I actually thought Meyer's group was recruiting Brissett hard. But I can't remember that well.

IIRC Weis was hired pretty late in the recruiting process and was almost solely responsible for bringing in Jacoby Brissett although Driskel was already in the fold. Weis must have had misgivings about Driskel to push so hard for another QB at that point.
