No, no, I'm a big fan.  Not.

I have seen nothing from him that shows a well managed or a well coached team. Even with the 11 win season, there were many questionable decisions, poor game management, undisciplined play and too many games that were too close for comfort.  

I am afraid that we have our version of Mark Richt, a good coach that will put together the 11-12 win season every couple years.  Enough to keep your job, but not enough to win championships.  The talent that can be recruited to Florida will ensure we can beat the cupcakes (ahem), so going 5-3, 6-2 in the SEC will give us 9-10 win seasons, are we still happy?

For me, the good part of this coach is he has taken all the stress out of games for me.  I go in with a very lackadaisical attitude, because quite frankly we could win every game, but we could also lose every game. I can't invest any emotional energy in him.  

I do think we will lose to the Vols, and seeing what Butch Jones has done with much less talent in a shorter period of time, shows what we should expect out of a good coaching staff.  That is why I'm not afraid of a coaching change, get somebody good and with our talent, we will immediately be better.

And as to whether we should give home the season, to quote or esteemed AD, "what must be done eventually, should be done immediately"

Geez, what a bunch of fair weather fans!  We are luck to have Coach, you do know he was head coach in waiting at Texas don't you?  I mean look t this team, after four years we have no holes in the roster, played extremely disciplined football, no stupid penalties and are always in position to make plays.

 

Unfortunately, the football gods are making us pay for the Urban years.  Don't worry, it is all correctable, he will get this turned around soon. If we don't go to a bowl again this year, just wait until next year...
