--KNOXVILLE – If not on Saturday, when?
Larry McCormack / The Tennessean
Maybe never.
Perhaps it's time for Tennessee fans to come to grips with the possibility that Florida's dominance of the Vols will continue in perpetuity. Simply put, if UT couldn't beat this Gators team in this setting, it might never beat Florida again.
Florida's streak over UT is an imperfect 10. The Gators can't even lose to UT when they try. Really, now, there's no other way to explain how a team that managed a puny 232 yards of total offense and couldn't score a single point for the first 46 minutes, 20 seconds still could walk out of NeylandStadium with a 10-9 victory.
Asked to quantify the depth of frustration attached to this loss, Volslinebacker Curt Maggitt, who grew up in West Palm Beach, Fla., stared straight ahead for several seconds and then merely shook his head.
It was that kind of day. Nobody in orange had any answers.
