That was the same "feeling" among the players last year, IIRC.  Defense was frustrated with offense.  That was the hallmark of the last few dysfunctional years under Meyer as well.

A team is a "team", not a defensive unit, special teams unit, or offense---all somehow cobbled together. This is 100% coaching philosophy period. That thought process tells me the team is divided. That can't work. Doesn't work. Isn't working. Everybody needs to be invested in everything, not just their position responsibility or their unit's responsibility. I would be interested if any of you would comment on this idea, whether you agree with me or not. I just thought the quote was telling in this regard.
