Not sure that I have ever seen a signing day class with a QB that has never started a game and a kicker who has never kicked a FG in a game.

 

Next thing you know, we'll sign a DT who has never made a tackle.

I think any other year 5 WRs would be too many, but this year we needed to get some extra help there.

Same with QBs.  Somehow 4 quarterbacks seems just right.

We look to be in pretty good shape at Corner with this class with or without him.

 

In my mind, the core of every recruiting class should be equal to the number of platers at that position. If you play three linebackers in your base scheme, you should recruit three. Two safeties, two corners, etc. 

 

The extra few schollies should be at positions with great attrition or injury potential; an extra OL and RB, perhaps.

 

We seem to have nailed that with this class, with a couple exceptions.

 

5 WRs seems one too many; 3 OL seems two too few.

 

No DTs after Shavar's defection, although perhaps Polite can slide over into that position. He seems to have the tools.

 

All in all, pretty pleased.

Nope, Bammer. He complained Mac didn't even come to see him, but also some speculation that he may have been more Callahan's choice that Mac's. With him still needing a test score, it didn't work out for whatever reason. We didn't get Fulton or Simpson either, apparently and are done for the day. I think we have a class of 24, but don't be surprised if Mac doesn't all some more transfers.
