This firing is no surprise. Tubby has under performed at Minnesota. It was widely expected that unless he went to the Sweet 16 he was gone, and even then he may have been gone. His year started great, but lost something like 11 of their last 16 games. You can see they had talent, just didn't perform all season to expectations.

Minnesota will go after Flip Saunders, former UMn star and former coach of the Timberwolves. Haven't heard anyone talking about Shaka, I do believe he is UCLA bound,
