RE: [gatortalk] Richt

Can't remember if it was Bianchi or Pat Dooley (Dooley, maybe) who said the thing about Smart is he is a DC who had the luxury of coaching (arguably) the best players in college ball year after year.  Can he transition to being a head coach and *not* always having the best players in college ball?  After what the Gators went through with trying a former DC (Coach Mishap), is it smart (pun intended) to try Smart?

Richt is probably too classy a guy (yeah I know about the Riverdance, and that is funny) to go down to the lawlessness of Miami.

It's gonna be more fun than watching Neon Treon throw passes at receivers' feet to watch the coaching carousel.

This writer seems to think they go after Kirby, with Muschamp as his DC – not sure why they want a DC that needs anger management:

Maybe they will hire Mushchamp...  although Kirby is probably the Smarter move.

I could see Richt going to UM, but for the wild lawless state of affairs in Dade county, I suspect he'll want to keep his family away from there.

Yep, I was afraid of that. Just wishful thinking.
