I suspect you're right.  It sounds like he's withdrawn from school and may transfer next season. I wonder why?  He's the one that screwed up?

Why wouldn't he want the extra practice time? It seemed pretty clear that he needed it.

Students are in the meat of their classes. There is no way that someone could take a few weeks off in the middle of the semester and hope to do well in in his classes.

But the SEC championship? No way Grier returns for that. He hasn't even been practicing with the team as he goes through the appeals process. Grier has been spending time back home in North Carolina over the past few weeks.
