Oh, and on the Lawing rumors, what I've heard is while married he took his mistress on the road on recruiting trips on USCe's dime – competing rumors on whether SOS asked him to leave or helped him get the UF job. It's a shame, because he's a great line coach and the kids loved him. Guess he found himself a home where honesty and/or ethics aren't an issue.

Lots of ugly rumors of personal (and possibly past recruiting) issues with Lawing.  He may be a good coach, but maybe Coach Mac didn't want any of that baggage.

On the other hand, I've heard that "two past Gators and one former Gator assistant" are among the candidates being considered for the WR coaching position.

I wonder who the former Gator players are?  Quez Green (OC at Tallahassee Lincoln HS)?  Kerwin Bell (HC at Jax U)?  Not saying those are the candidates, they were just the former Gators who are coaches that came to mind.

Any rumors, Woody?
