Re: [gatortalk] the 64 thousand dollar question?

Yeah, me too on the depressed part. I liked Dooley's line in his commentary.

"He was your high-maintenance ex-girlfriend who told you a little more than four years ago, "It's not you, it's me." And then way too soon found someone else."

It's just salt in the wound to Gator fans. My only remaining hope is that the whole thing will fall apart after about six years.

Yep!  ...and that is not your father's Ohio State team either.  Meyer has brought SEC speed to the Buckeyes.  I was impressed with their OL and their entire defense.  Oregon could not get a establish any kind of run game at all!  It was quite a dominating effort by the Buckeyes in the trenches, where they say games are won. I just can't get over the 3 TO's!!!!  Wow!  I'm fully depressed now.....

I was watching the Florida high school state championships in December, and during one of the games, they had a graphic with the number of 5 & 4 star athletes currently on the teams in the College National Championship Playoff.  Oregon didn't have any 4-stars and hadn't had a class ranked over something like 33 for the past four years.

So I would say in Oregon's case - coaching.  Those kids are either being developed or they know how to use the strengths of the kids they have.

From last night's game, I would say that you need the 5* and 4* on your OL and DL.  That was the difference, IMHO.  I mean, the openings for OSUs RB were so huge even I could have run through them.

So…is it the talent that is so much better OR the coaching?? Inquiring minds want to know.
