Foley said in a news conference that, while all the assistant coaches have a provision that we don't pay if they take another job, Muschamp's contract does not have that provision. We will pay him $6m over three years whether or not he takes another position. It is very likely that he will end up being the best paid DC in the country next year, in a manner of speaking.

I think there will be an ethical dilemma for him if he goes anywhere for several years. The dilemma comes from a recruiting advantage he might have from his four years of building relationships with recruits while being paid to be the Florida coach.
I am not sure that he will go anywhere for a while. I believe that most contract buyouts cease to pay if the person takes another job in the same profession. Most DC jobs would pay only a fraction of his Florida contract.
