[gatortalk] Re: [gatornews] GatorNEWS from the Miami Herald and Palm Beach Post, courtesy of JunoGator

I interpreted this (in a previous article) to mean that all the previous Gator coaches had the same problem, but I guess it's all in the context. If someone asked why he has so many penalties, then I wouldn't see it as critical of officiating, but if someone had asked about officiating, then he might have meant that. Did anyone see the press conference?

Either way, it's looking like the pressure is getting to him (between this and getting into it with a fan). This team looked very undisciplined on Sat, and I liked it better when he used to say that it's their responsibility and they're working on it. Now it sounds like he's saying, 'it's not my fault' and he's given up.

I think he's likely to get another year to turn this around if he stays emotionally solid (and beats Vandy and GS), but if he starts to go all Zookish on us, it may be a different story. I hope he stays away from the frats!

Despite the Gators consistently lacking discipline or composure at key moments, Muschamp lobbed some sort of pseudo-conspiracy at the league office following UF's third-straight loss to UGA.

"Whatever the call, they call," he said. "In the last 24 years, the University of Florida, we've led the SEC in penalties 20 out of 24 [years], either first or second. That was long before I got here. So it's interesting. But it is what it is."
