Re: [gatortalk] Fwd: [gatornews] [SUN]: SEC's best games: Nos. 10-6

Nope, I see two games with Clem's son in there...

Ok, Ken now that we're getting down to the top 10, they're all SEC teams. Are you happy now?  :-)

This is the fourth part of a five-part series produced exclusively for Gatorsports.com ranking the top 25 games involving SEC teams in the 2013 college football season.

Nos. 10-6:
·         No. 10. Florida at South Carolina
Nov. 16, Columbia, S.C.
The angle may be tired. We all know about Steve Spurrier and Florida. The storyline has become more about two of the best teams in the East facing off in a big game. The Gamecocks want to atone for last year's thrashing in Gainesville.
Early line: South Carolina by 5.
·         No. 9. Clemson at South Carolina
Nov. 30, Columbia, S.C.
This is another one of those great in-state rivalry games at the end of the season. The Gamecocks have owned the state recently, and Clemson badly needs to end a four-game losing streak to Spurrier.
Early line: South Carolina by 4½ points.
·         No. 8. LSU at Georgia
Sept. 28, Athens, Ga.
After all the gnashing of teeth over Georgia's soft conference schedule, there can be no complaining this year with the Tigers making a rare appearance in Athens. Since 2000, the two teams have played more times in Atlanta (three) than in Athens (two).
Early line: Georgia by 6.
·         No. 7. Georgia at Clemson
Aug. 31, Clemson, S.C.
OK, Clemson, let's see what ya got. The Tigers have been flirting with elite-level football the last couple of years and need a marquee win to get everyone's attention. This game should also establish whether or not Georgia is a national contender.
Early line: Georgia by 3½ points.
·         No. 6. South Carolina at Georgia
Sept. 7, Athens, Ga.
There are no two teams who have it tougher the first two weeks of the season than Georgia and South Carolina. Spurrier gets his wish in getting the Bulldogs early, and the winner is considered the favorite to take the East.
Early line: Georgia by 4.
