I would bet my seasons tickets that the Mid Field "Block F" does not
change. The discussion that some of you may have heard occurs about
this time every year usually on Scout or Gator Country. It is usually
started by what I call "keyboard kowboys". The folks that have never
played the game on a varsity level and are always wanting to change the
helmet, uniform designs, using colors other than the school colors, and
most often gets in to silliness like incorporating jetpacks for the
WR's. They did change the End Zone lettering fonts last year, but the
Block F at mid field is in honor of all the athletes that have earned a
varsity letter at UF and is the traditional font. Because of the
tradition established, I bet this does not change. BTW, if you know what
Friday Night Lights is all about, they painted the field for that
event. Guess what was painted at mid field?
