I’ve used the ATT 4G hotspot a few times and if 4G is available in the area, it works great. But a word of warning, 1GB of data is nothing if you are planning any extensive use, I would make real sure you are aware of what the overage charges are before jumping…..
BTW, the 4G phones that are out there right now all allow tethering which means you can use them to connect your laptop to the 4G networks, there is usually a monthly fee to allow tethering but if you have an unlimited data plan for your phone, it might be a more cost effective way to go….
The company I am contracted with sent me an Apple iphone 4S and they were paying the monthly tethering charge, it worked at 3G speeds but was very easy to use and quick enough for most things, it comes in very handy when I’m hung up in an airport that charges for wifi…..

Subject: [gatortalk] Have any of you tried NetZero mobile broadband?
If so, what's been your experience?
I got a flyer about their 4G network being available in the Tampa Bay area--$20 a month for 1GB if you buy either a USB modem or a wifi hotspot. No contract. I have been thinking about getting a tablet and liked the hotspot idea. I like things to be simple and I do not want to use a little tiny keyboard on a phone.
Thanks for any suggestions.
