I can understand that Stricklin might want to replace Mac. I could understand that their personalities might conflict. I can understand that Stricklin might be under some booster pressure. What I can't understand is what Stricklin was thinking when he made this conflict public. I cannot see any positive benefit Stricklin gains by openly making the statement he did. I see the benefit in stating the concern for the victims of the alleged death threats. I can see sharing that they had met with Mac. I cannot see any benefit from the statement that Mac did not share any further details. I think this move by Stricklin was very unfortunate and inappropriate.
I also cannot understand how Stricklin could think he could fire Mac for cause. It would be almost impossible to prove what might have been said on a telephone call. Even if Stricklin and Fuchs had told Mac not to mention it in the press conference, I doubt that would be grounds for termination. Their actions may well set back the program for several years to come. If they were unhappy with Mac, they could have waited for a better time.

Our program is going through an amicable divorce.
The original source from the first tweet today was Mac's agent, Jimmy Sexton. The Tweeter is an attorney that works for Forbes. He got his law degree from Georgia, and one of his professors is a Gator and internet friend who vouched for him as soon as it was posted, before it was even picked up by Gator Bait and others.
Did you see Mac and his wife's smiles after the game? They want out and Sexton is trying to get as much money for him as he can to go away.

As long as Nuss is there and Mac is just QC, he has an out. Save your job, lose Nuss and lets see what you have Mac... Many head coaches do it. Prove you want to stay at Florida. Make a change!

35 - 0 right now ... not sure how the refs have anything to do with it. How has Nuss not been fired? Like last year?

In either our first or second drive, pass interference on UGA. No call. Judgement call but replays showed UGA hands were clearly on our receiver before the ball got there. This is the less obvious of the lot.
UGA player took his helmet off before even getting off the ground after sacking Franks. Not a judgement call. How they missed it, i have no idea... Should have been a first down for Gators.
Replays showed a facemask against UGA that was no call. Should have been a first down for Gators.
Hitting Franks after play blow dead on a false start. No call. Should have been a first down for Gators.
Holding against UGA in their end zone on our receiver running an out route, no call. Should have been a first down for Gators from the 2.
Holding against UGA on our Wilson by their receiver where his jersey was stretched and pulled, no call.
Combine that with the horrible pass offense, or lack thereof, and McElwain's 4th down calls, and we have no chance.
It tough to play the team in red and black and the ones in white and black at the same time when you are so obviously inept on the offensive side of the ball.
Don't get me started on the inability to actually tackle. Did we stop practicing that? Are we too weak to do it now? We go for the big hit and miss... over and over.
If Stricklin hasn't talked to anyone about buying out McElwain, he's about to burn up his wireless minutes doing so...
