FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Florida softball team capped off the series sweep of Arkansas with a 6-1 win Sunday. The team recorded the third 10-plus hit game in its last four.
The Gators (33-2, 10-1 SEC) fell behind 1-0 in the fourth inning when the Razorbacks (22-12, 2-10 SEC) took advantage of a rare Florida miscue. Pitcher Kelly Barnhill (13-0) wrapped up her day in the circle to issue just one hit and struck out seven Razorbacks while issuing no walks on just 72 pitches. Senior Delanie Gourley relieved Barnhill in the sixth inning.
The Gators return to home action Wednesday against North Florida at 6 p.m.
