Mac has said that his organizational structure is very loose and that everyone will be involved with coaching. I, nor most, really know what he means. I will infer, however, that he is suggesting that boundaries between position coaches may be somewhat fluid. If not, he plans, like SOS, to be the real OC and Wide receiver's coach. People have written that SOS would actually run the routes for the receivers and show them how many steps to take, etc.. If true, it seems our wide receivers back then must have learned well.

Zero WR coaching experience and barely any WR playing experience, and given how long it has taken to name him, I am pretty sure this is not the coach he was thinking of several weeks ago with whom we would all be so happy.
Maybe Mac does coach them himself and bring this guy along, but wouldn't an experienced WR coach still be a better fit than someone who needs OJT? Nothing personal, since I know nothing about him, but this is the first of Coach Mac's hires that I am disappointed in... and it's the area in which we probably need the most improvement.
