Unproven and no experience at a high level-- never even been a coordinator at a division 1 school.  Ok, so he was a grad assistant for SOS for one year before going to the CFL.  I don't think he is what we are looking for, but I would love to bring him in to learn under a HC with experience.  He may some day be exactly what we need, but I just don't see how he is ready now...

ONE coach who could step in and BUILD us back to the top......KERWIN BELL.
He's built the J'ville team from nothing to a winning program.He's 57-33 in 8 seasons.(Only two losing years!)He knows the UF program.He's at the right age range to have a nice long term stay.He and Roper would make a pretty good offensive pairing.Bell knows what it takes to be a GATOR---remember,he was a walk on to begin with.
WHY take a chance on someone who is comfy at their current school?Stoops isn't leaving.Freeze isn't leaving.Forget Mullen.Go with the BEST option right down the road!
