Re: [gatortalk] 47-40-2

Georgia's remaining SEC games are Ole Miss and Auburn, so their chances of winning after they play us are pretty good. However, they did struggle against Kentucky, so you never know.

That's the series record with Georgia without the disputed 1904 game. The Bulldogs have the advantage but we've made up a lot of ground in the past few decades.

This team needs to do its part to whittle it down to seven or eight games, depending on who's counting. These Gators should be highly motivated to avenge last year's loss to the defending division champion.

It doesn't get any better than this. Both Florida and Georgia are highly ranked, have everything on the line in this game and for the season.

All that aside - and that's a lot, - no other win means more to this Gator. Wins against Georgia were rare in the pre-Spurrier era of Florida football. Woodruff and Graves had a great run against the Bulldogs. To be able to clench the Eastern division title from Georgia, notch the win column and move on another week undefeated would make it that much sweeter.

It's been awhile since the Cocktail Party and this series had so much significance. Enjoy. These are sure to be the good old days of the border rivalry. We'll need to play at our very best to come away with a win.

Lots of great memories and experiences in this rivalry.
