I'm happy Gator fans are happy and heady as they get ready for today's mega-game with No. 4-ranked LSU. I'm happy Gator fans have some hope of better days ahead and are even optimistic that they can win the game today. Let's face it, college football in this state is much better when that old Gator arrogance permeates every nook and cranny of our pigskin peninsula.
That said, the reptilian arrogance and aplomb is not authentic. Gator fans are filled with false hope and bogus bravado today. They are basing their confidence on the fact that LSU has struggled in the last two weeks against mediocre competition. Well, guess what? The Tigers won't struggle today. They have been bored the last two weeks, laying in the weeds and sunning themselves waiting for the meat of their schedule to get here.
