I don't blame the kid... If the new staff has made it known, either verbally or via lack of contact, that they have no interest, then he should decommit and let others schools know he is available.  If he develops and gets better, maybe we show interest again.  Maybe we burned a bridge.  Maybe the new staff realizes that he is not a good fit for either one of the reason's Doc mentioned.  I would guess he does not seem a good fit for the new schemes we plan to implement.

From what I read elsewhere this was someone the previous regime recruited and the current staff didn't want.
What I don't understand is why decommit now? The guy is 6'7" and 300+ lbs and still has his senior year in HS ahead of him and might become a 5*

Andrew Coker, a 6-foot-7 offensive lineman out of Katy (Tx.) Taylor High, de-committed from Florida's 2019 class on Monday night.

 

 

Coker committed to Florida back in June after camping at UF, and he's continued receiving offers from the likes of Arkansas and Missouri in recent weeks.

The Gators now have just three verbal commitments in the 2019 class following Coker's departure.
