I think it was fairly mutual. I wouldnt be shocked if Scott and Mullen had been talking for a while.

I was bummed at Seider leaving. It was hard to tell if his departure was Mullen's idea or Ja'Juan's. Either Seider gave Mullen a lot of notice or Mullen has had this planned for a while. In either case, it seems that Ja'Juan's departure was in the works for a while.
