Florida wide receiver Antonio Callaway has been cleared of sexual assault by the Jacksonville attorney and Gator football booster who oversaw Callaway's Title IX hearing last Friday.
Jake Schickel delivered his ruling in writing Friday in a redacted statement.
"From the totality of the evidence I find that the burden of proof was not met and I find Mr. Callaway not responsible," Schickel wrote.
The alleged victim has 10 business days to appeal the decision. Her attorney, John Clune, said Friday there is no intention at this time to appeal the ruling or bring a lawsuit against the university.
The alleged victim and her family boycotted last Friday's hearing, citing possible bias on the part of Schickel, a former UF track athlete who earned his bachelor's and law degrees from Florida.
Schickel addressed the bias issue in his ruling.
