I can understand how incoming freshmen have duplicate numbers before they hit the field, but how do two starters have the same number? It this a new strategy we will use to baffle our opponents?

Vernon is a 5-11, 195 lbs. true sophomore Defensive Back from Tampa (Wharton HS) who has played in 12 games, with 10 starts, recording 38 tackles (26 solo), three INTs and 11 pass breakups.
