No. 1 Johnny Manziel
Position: Quarterback
School: Texas A&M
Height: 6-foot-1
Weight: 200 pounds
Year: Sophomore
Why he's No. 1: Despite his off-the-field problems, Manziel is the defending Heisman Trophy winner and the most exciting player in football. He's a perfect fit for coach Kevin Sumlin's system. An argument can be made that teams will know more about him this year, remember that in his final game of last season Manziel ran for 229 yards against an Oklahoma team that had more than a month to get ready for him. Last year, Manziel threw for 3,706 yards and 26 touchdowns while leading the SEC in rushing with 1,410 yards and 21 touchdowns. Texas A&M is loaded on offense again this year and that should take some of the self-inflicted pressure off the quarterback.
