A Florida game at Daytona Speedway? It could happen

NASCAR and college football could collide.
Daytona International Speedway could end up hosting a Florida, Florida State, Jacksonville Jaguars and Tampa Bay Bucs game in the future.
The raceway is planning a three-year $400 million redesign that officially broke ground Friday. And according to the AP, the project should be complete by 2016, just in time for a likely SEC nine-game schedule.
The renovation includes improved concessions, more comfortable seating and more TVs around the stands.
The football games would be played in the infield grass near the start-finish line, a likely drawback for the fans because of the distance from the stands to the actual playing surface.
SEC football and NASCAR: the perfect storm for mullets and jorts. I'm just poking you, Gator fan.
