I said that way back....we played 5 teams who were ranked when we played them and lost to only one (and we know who that was...argh)...so I agree we should have been ahead of Bama.  Obviously the BCS bowl pickers like our "resume" :-)

If Georgia had played our SEC West schedule, it would not have made the SEC Championship Game.

If Alabama had played LSU or A&M's Eastern schedule, it may not have made the game, either.

The SEC CG was less about determining the SEC Champ and more about who had the easier out-of-division schedule.

I still believe that we should be ranked ahead of Bama.
