If Kelly is ambivalent about coaching the Gators, let him go somewhere else.  I want somebody who WANTS to coach Florida, not someone we have to persuade.  All the past two weeks, Pat Dooley's been saying he did not think Kelly was a good fit at all.  Gators have pride, we aren't beggars, let's tell Kelly buh-bye.

I would have gone after Frost to begin with.

I understand they tried Kelly because he is available and the other candidates are not available until after the regular season.

But, even without Frost, there are still several young, successful coaches available.

Tennessee fans are all over Dan Mullen as their next coach.

Are these the same sources who said it was a done deal a week ago? We may have actually moved on, but I don't think this tweet really gives us information one way or another.  We would be crazy not to be working on our strategy for who to pursue next if he does choose UCLA. This could just indicate that we are working on our backup plan, though it could also indicate that CK has already given us an answer. We just don't know, but we do know that our anonymous sources' track record has not been all that good to this point. If CK announces on Sunday that he's going to UCLA, then I'll consider us to have moved on.

 

I will say this... I would be genuinely excited by Kelly or Frost, with Frost being my first choice. I would be content with a handful of others, but that handful does not include Mullen. I would be pretty disappointed if we jumped straight from CK to DM.
