This was a great game. Back and forth all day.
A&M's ace reliever, Ryan Hendrix had a .087 ERA when he came in.
The Gators got 4 runs off of him, along with 4 walks and 2 hits. I'm sure his ERA is a little higher today.
Our pitchers held on after that. It's funny to say pitching won this game with so many runs, but that's what happened.

Texas A&M's stay atop the college baseball rankings will not last long. Not coincidentally, Florida's stay at No. 2 will likely also be short-lived.
Buddy Reed, JJ Schwarz and Jonathan India each drove in two runs and Florida staked its claim to the top of the polls, finishing off a sweep of the No. 1 Aggies 10–7 Sunday in front of 4,824 at McKethan Stadium.
In a back-and-forth battle, the Gators and Aggies (22-6, 4-5 SEC) exchanged the lead five times, with UF jumping in front for good in the seventh. Florida (27-3, 7-2) scored all four runs in the frame with two outs.
With runners on the corners, Reed hit a swinging bunt and hustled down the line to beat the throw as India raced home to tie the game at 7. The Gators added on when Schwarz singled to right, Peter Alonso hit a ball off the top of the right-field wall and a wild pitch scored another run to make it 10-7.
"We were salty that we didn't play up to our potential at Kentucky," said Alonso, who finished the series 8-for-12 with five RBIs. "That's just not us, that doesn't define our ball club and we wanted to show who we really are."
On Opening Day around Major League Baseball, UF lost its top pro prospect to back spasms after just 10 pitches. Junior A.J. Puk, a potential top-five overall pick in June according to Baseball America, left after his first pitch in the second inning.
Florida coach Kevin O'Sullivan said he didn't think the injury was significant.
"He probably could have kept pitching," he said. "We didn't really give him the option. It's too early in the year."
Florida finished the series with 24 runs on 36 hits and 20 walks.
"You get done with a series like this and you've got to write down everything that you saw because there's a good chance you're going to end up seeing them again," O'Sullivan said.
The Gators host Jacksonville at 7 p.m. Tuesday and open a three-game home series with Mississippi State at 5:30 p.m. Friday.
