I agree 100%. I like Jeff’s size and arm strength (when he gets to use it), but I thought TM was MUCH more mobile and able to read the defense better. Jeff would’ve taken a sack a lot of times that TM pulled a Tebow and took off running. I hate that Jeff got hurt, but I’m not the least worried about TM being productive. Yes, it was against Tennessee, who, judging by their performance against Oregon, is probably a bottom feeder this year, but I still thought he played extremely well for his first game. He can only get better with more #1 QB snaps, but I AM concerned about our lack of depth at the position.

I call BS. If coach Dawg knew that this is the way Tyler would perform, then why was Jeffplaying, even when he was struggling so much? I would buy this statement if they had put TM in for even a series just to help Jeff see what was going on. We never heard the competition was close, In Fact the Opposite.
I just wonder what other talent isn't being evaluated/used...
