Been thinking about that.

The traditional Spanish version of Philip is "Felipé"; Fay - Lee - Pay, emphasis on the final syllable.

The use of the diphthong "ei" in the second syllable (pronounced like an "a") instead of just the "i" (pronounced like a long "e") would tend to imply that it is pronounced "Fay - Lay - Pay."

The lack of accent mark, if intentional, would put the emphasis on the next to last syllable, so "fay - LAY - pay."

Best I can recall from college…

I do remember my "diptongos," though.
