I'm thinking Bryant was talking about the climate, beaches etc more than coaches.
I read a quote yesterday about inventors. Something about the inventor isn't the only person who works on a project. He's only the person who put the finishing touches on the thing. All those who came before... You get the drift.
That's probably what Steve was talking about. He surely couldn't have done what he did without Charlie Pell getting money for facilities. Charlie couldn't have done his share without Ray Graves. And on and on. Each coach laid the groundwork for the next.
This, of course, begs the question...
Where would Mick Hubert be without Otis Boggs?
