As Leon says they're combining administrative staff, not tenured professors, and especially not to beef up football.

--I too find this surprising. However, the computer engineering department is still intact. It may be that the program is merged with the engineering program. On the engineering school web site, the computer engineering program was a joint program with the Computer science department.Jerry
