It's been a weird year, for sure.  I saw a post on facebook today, saying that often when a 3-star recruit decommits it's because the school is focusing on other, better players at that position.  <shrug>  Just passing on what I read.

Florida's 2020 class picked up a commitment Friday from three-star offensive guard Richard "Richie" Leonard IV.

A 6-foot-2, 320-pound prospect out of Cocoa High, Leonard committed to UF over Florida State, Kentucky and Tennessee. 

Leonard, a former Wildcats commit ranked the No. 45 offensive guard in the 2020 class by 247Sports, has seen his recruitment take off over the spring after being named the Offensive Line's MVP at The Opening Orlando in February.

After de-committing from Kentucky on April 19, Leonard took official visits to Kentucky and Tennessee on June 5 and June 21, respectively, leading many to believe the in-state product was set to leave the state for another SEC program.

But area recruiter Greg Knox and offensive line coach John Hevesy were able to land Leonard's commitment with a later-than-most offer and an ensuing unofficial visit to Gainesville on June 1.

With Leonard's pledge, the Gators hold commitment from 18 prospects in the 2020 class.
