He's not out of the woods, qualifying wise. The fact they accepted his LOI indicates that admissions feels that there's a good chance that he can, but he needs to keep this semester's grades up, and he does not yet have a ACT score that would be sufficient to qualify, so he'll need to take that again and get a score that, along with an improved core GPA will be good enough. And then hope that the ACT doesn't improve so much that it gets flagged by the NCAA clearinghouse. Still happy to have him in the fold, and hope he can do what he needs to to be able to enroll in the summer.
