Injuries mostly. Mayra Pelayo was missing for a few games and then got hurt, Parker Roberts is out for the year, Rachelle Smith got injured, Melanie Monteagudo is hurt and might be out for the year (?), Deanne Rose, our star striker was with the Canadian National Team and when returned was hobbled some. 

This recent FSU game they played pretty well in spite of being out-talented by the Noles, but once Lais Araujo (sp?) got red carded in the last 10+ minutes, their already-weak offense had no chance to score while out-manned. FSU then got a goal on a rebound past goalie Kaylen Marckese in the last 3 minutes of the match and won, 1-0..

ORLANDO — Florida's soccer team lost 3-0 to UCF on Monday at the UCF Soccer and Track Stadium.

The match was originally scheduled for 6 p.m. Sunday. Lightning caused multiple delays and the game was postponed until Monday

Florida (2-5-1) was shutout for the sixth consecutive match. The Gators last scored in the 4-2 win versus Florida Atlantic on Aug. 19. UCF improved to 2-2-1.

Florida opens SEC play at 3 p.m. Sunday with a home contest against Vanderbilt.
