--Well I guess I'm just a worry wart but it makes me nervous that our top QB commit is from California and our top WR commit is from Louisiana. Would be a lot happier if these guys were homegrown talent. There is a lot of pressure for Louisiana kids to stay home and California is a long way from Gainesville. I hope these guys sign in December.

Btw... We probably do not land Fields... but we should still consider Corral commitment a huge win. It isnt like there is a meteoric drop from Fields to Corral and Corral is considered the #1 ranked pro-style QB in this class too. Some are already comparing him to Sexy Rexy. I think it is a bit early for that.. but ok.--

--Florida landed a verbal commitment Saturday from the No. 2 ranked pro-style quarterback in the 2018 class who spent the weekend in Gainesville.
Matt Corral, the No. 23 overall player in the 2018 class by 247Sports composite, verbally committed to the Gators and coach Jim McElwain.
A five-star prospect, Corral de-committed from the University of Southern California June 17 and soon turned his attention to offers from Florida and Georgia.
"This recruiting process has been an amazing and humbling journey," Corral wrote on his Twitter account. "After thoughtful consideration and talking with my family, I have decided to take my talents to the University of Florida."
With Corral's verbal commitment, which is non-binding until he signs a letter of intent, the Gators have 12 commits in the 2018 class.
