I think the waiver is uncertain and Florida did not want to wait and let all the portal options get snapped up.

I'm any case, I don't blame him. He gave up his redshirt year to help us win a Natty, absolutely great kid. He will transfer to a power 5 school and will be well paid, much more than we would be able to offer, especially if the big 3 come back.
