He can win a NC a Florida, yes.  But I truly believe that we Florida fans need to accept the kind of reality that Georgia fans have (grudgingly, but still) accepted: if you have a coach who gets you to Atlanta as often as Richt does, then you NEED to let the guy settle in and stay for 20 years.

 

It's still as clear as if I heard it yesterday, Spurrier saying he can't stick around a program when 9-2 seems like a failure.

 

We need to face reality.  Things change in the SEC.  Most teams are up and down.  It's always going to be this way.  We'll be back up, but if McElwain starts having 9-2, 8-3, 10-1 seasons, we GOTTA relax.

That's the problem with the whole coaching search.

So many rumors. 

One blog was even saying Lane Kiffin was a candidate.  The online blogs like SDS, Gamedayr, etc were more of a liability than a help.
