PRESIDENT SEARCH UPDATE – October 14, 2014

Re: President Finalists
I am pleased to announce that the search committee has selected two finalists for the University of Florida's 12th president: Dr. W. Kent Fuchs, provost of Cornell University, and Dr. David W. McLaughlin, provost of New York University.
The finalists will attend faculty and campus/community assemblies tonight and will meet with the Board of Trustees Wednesday. The assemblies and the Trustees meeting will be open to the public and simulcast via closed-circuit television.
Campus/Community Assemblies
McLaughlin – 5-6 p.m., Emerson Alumni Hall Classroom
Fuchs – 7:30-8:30 p.m., Emerson Alumni Hall President's Room B
Faculty Assemblies
Fuchs – 5-6:30 p.m., Emerson Alumni Hall President's Room B
McLaughlin – 7-8:30 p.m., Emerson Alumni Hall Classroom
The Board of Trustees meeting begins at 8:30 a.m. with interviews beginning at approximately 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Emerson Alumni Hall, culminating in the selection of the president-elect. I will share this news with you in an email shortly after the meeting adjourns. For the latest developments, including closed-circuit viewing locations, please visit presidentsearch.ufl.edu.
