I was one of the founding members, also connecting a 64K Apple by (was it only 300 baud?) modem. Just watching characters marching slowly across a screen in those early days. No graphics, no mouse, just typed DOS commands. I know, many of you are wondering what I'm talking about, so I'll stop.
GatorNet as all of the many information services came to be called has kept many of us Gator fans connected from those pioneering pre-internet days to the present smart phone/watches/TV's, etc.
I, too, have made many friends through GatorNet over the years, now decades. Paula and I value you all more than you can ever know.
Special thanks to Doc, and our late Gus and the many more who carried us through mainframe crashes, provider changes and other digital challenges along the way.
And, a big hug to our laid-back, snorkeling admin, Steve who is almost always out of sight.
Anyone else miss Randy?
