I honestly don't see how any QB could be successful behind this particular OL (and with the same play-calling we've seen so far).

Neither will the offensive line look any better than they did against Vandy.
Offensive talent? Maybe we have it, but most of it is on the sideline waiting for mother nature’s healing.
Reminds me of John McKay, asked about his team’s execution, “I’m all in favor of it.”

Charlie, no one comes out of a fire "smelling like a rose". I'm assuming you are being rhetorical.
I admit I derive twisted enjoyment in watching people (euphemistically) slash their wrists on internet message boards after their team fails. I even enjoy it when Gator fans are at it... like since Saturday at about noon. :-) I am also as guilty as anyone of gnashing my teeth and yelling during and after the Vandy game. Then I got a good night's sleep, and started reading interesting things on Sunday and Monday. Some of the most interesting articles and posts discussed recruiting in 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012. I don't blame CWM for the 2011 class, because transition classes are usually iffy, but Urb's last two classes... oy.
Now, I agree that we have legitimate questions about the Gator offense, and the lack of development of offensive personnel. I also think that the players that commit stupid personal fouls need to warm the bench more (admittedly an issue when you have depth concerns). But, the Gators' offensive players are just not that good. I was listening to WRUF this afternoon, and Doug Johnson (on the Larry Vettel show) said that he wouldn't trade a single person on his last team with anyone on the 2013 offense. That's pretty telling. Also, how many of our offensive players have been drafted by the NFL in Muschamp's tenure? How many do you see getting drafted this year?
I think we have had a perfect storm, this year, of injuries at positions we could not absorb. Easley's loss was way more devastating than anyone wanted to believe, because he was a team leader. Even more importantly, we could not afford to lose so many offensive line starters. I found it funny to listen to people call in to Steve Russell's and Larry Vettel's shows and talk about how understandable it is that Gator basketball lost at Wisconsin last night, because so may players are out due to injury and/or suspension. Double standard, anyone?
I don't know what to think about the offense, but I don't recall many people griping about the hiring of Weis or Pease at the time. Hindsight, though, is too illuminating. We have issues, clearly, and I do not believe that a lack of talent is solely to blame for our offensive ineptitude.
Still, I am not willing to lay the blame for everything at the feet of CWM. I may be foolish, but I think Foley is more concerned about the long-term future of the football program than he is about his ego. I think CWM deserves more time to right the ship.
Now, if no changes are made in the offense in the next three games, I'll be back to blather about all this again...

Hired BillyD who won back to back national championships. That had nothing to do with Machen. Hired Rhonda Feign who just won a national championship. Played a big role in hiring Meyer. Won 2 national championships. Tennis. Softball. Baseball. All successful and jn large part due to what Foley did.
How many capitol one cups did we win or in the running for? How many improvements to facilities was foley responsible for starting and securing funding for? Who else has started a Lacrosse program from scratch and whos been a top 5 program since.
To say Foley should go is ludicrous.

You never know quite what to believe on the message boards but according to some Machen actually hired Urban Meyer so that leaves Foley with Muschamp and Zook as his stamp on one of the top 5 football programs in the country.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The won-loss record has taken a tumble in 2013, but Jeremy Foley’s support of head football coach Will Muschamp has not.
Foley said Wednesday he is fully committed to Muschamp to lead the program into the future.
“As athletic director, I’m a thousand percent convinced that Will Muschamp is the guy to lead this football program,’’ Foley said inside his office at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. “Nothing has changed in what we feel about Will Muschamp from the day we hired him.
“Everyone around here wants the same thing,’’ Foley continued. “We want to do what is right for the University of Florida. We understand that this football season has not gone the way any of us wanted it to go, certainly not the way our fans wanted it to go, and most of all, not the way Will Muschamp wanted it to go.
“We have a history of being successful, we have a history of fixing things when they need to be fixed, and that is what is going to happen here, and Coach Muschamp is the one that will fix it.”
Muschamp was named UF’s head coach in December 2010. With three regular-season games remaining in his third season, Muschamp is 22-13 overall, including an 11-1 regular-season record in 2012 and Sugar Bowl berth. The Gators knocked off four teams ranked in the Top 10 last season and climbed to No. 2 in the polls before a loss to Georgia.
Florida is coming off a 34-17 Homecoming loss to Vanderbilt on Saturday, dropping the Gators below .500 for the first time since 1992. The 4-5 Gators travel to face No. 12-ranked South Carolina on Saturday.
“I understand the passion and the disappointment,’’ Foley said. “But at the end of the day, we’ve got great fans, they love the Gators and their passion makes this place special. They are hurting, they want the program to be successful and we feel that hurt.”
Despite the loss and fan criticism in recent weeks, Foley and UF President Bernie Machen made it clear Wednesday they remain firmly behind Muschamp, who was head coach-in-waiting at Texas prior to his arrival at Florida.
“I want the Gator Nation to know that I have full confidence in Coach Muschamp and his leadership of the football program,’’ Machen said.
Meanwhile, Foley wants Florida fans to remain patient and as the 42-year-old Muschamp works to turn the program around in what has been an injury-plagued season for the Gators.
“We will get better under Will Muschamp’s leadership,’’ Foley said. “This is not the quote-unquote dreaded ‘vote of confidence.’ This is just how we all feel around here. We have a strong faith and a strong belief in his capabilities, in his leadership skills, in his ability to evaluate what needs to be fixed.”
“Go back to a year ago: we’re 11-1 and beat four teams in the Top 10 and he was SEC Coach of the Year. I don’t think that was a fluke. I think coaching had a lot to do with that. We’ll stay the course here. We’ll get it right. We’re not going to let Gator fans down. We want the same thing they want.”
