It became a bit dicey - it was 1-0 until the bottom of the 4th, when the Gators connected on a few well-timed hits and excellent baserunning to make it 4-0. The very next 1/2 inning, Hannah Rogers struggled mightily with walks, a hit batsman, a wild pitch, and the inability to make an out on a play she fields cleanly 99% of the time. Sprinkled in with a couple of hits and Bama tied it before the Gators finally made the 3rd out. Lauren Haeger came in to pitch top of the 6th and made quick work of three Bama batters. In the bottom of the 6th, Bailey Castro got on base with a walk and Kelsey Stewart via a single; right after that Kirsti Merritt hit a homer that just barely was on the right side of the foul pole. Forget now how the last run was scored, but in the top of the 7th Bama went quietly - only one single and three ground-outs.
