This seems like an easier schedule than our normal grindfest.

Gators release 2013 football schedule

Florida's SEC East vs. SEC West rivalry with LSU will remain uninterrupted.

The Southeastern Conference released its 2013 football schedule on Thursday and the two league powers will continue their non-divisional matchup. Florida has played LSU in every season dating back to 1971. When the SEC expanded in 1992 and spilt into divisions, Florida and LSU were deemed permanent opponents.

In 2013, the Gators will travel to LSU on Oct. 12. Florida's other SEC West opponent will be Arkansas, who will visit Gainesville on Oct. 5.

Because of an extra week in the college football season, teams will get two bye weeks.

After opening the season at home against Toledo on Aug. 31, the Gators travel to Miami in the second week of the season.

Following a bye week, UF will host Tennessee on Sept. 21. The Gators get another bye before their matchup with Georgia Nov. 2 in Jacksonville.

UF will host Florida State in the regular-season finale on Nov. 30, a week after Georgia Southern comes to Florida Field.

Florida will also make its first trip to Missouri, playing the Tigers on Oct. 19.

The SEC was forced to revamp its scheduling format following the addition of Texas A&M and Missouri this year.

The current season's schedule was put together as a one-year fix, while a long-term format could be reached. The SEC's athletic directors agreed upon a 6-1-1 format which states each team will play its divisional foes, as well as one permanent and one rotating team in the other division.

Here's UF's full schedule
Aug. 31 vs. Toledo
Sept. 7 at Miami
Sept. 14 Bye
Sept. 21 vs. Tennessee
Sept. 28 at Kentucky
Oct. 5 vs. Arkansas
Oct. 12 at LSU
Oct. 19 at Missouri
Oct. 26 Bye
Nov. 2 vs. Georgia, in Jacksonville
Nov. 9 vs. Vanderbilt
Nov. 16 at South Carolina
Nov. 23 vs. Georgia Southern
Nov. 30 vs. Florida State
