[gatortalk] Pick 'em results

Lots of high scores last week in Pick 'em. No fewer than 10 folks were 10-2 to take top honors. Congrats to Bruce Smith, Ed Porras, Frazier Chiles, Jim Bowen, Justin Harrell, Ken Kirkley, Kevin Maher, Mark Weigly, Marshall Rothman, and Robert Rieders.

So many players were 9-3 it would take a long time to list, so congratulations to all of you as well.

The regular season is over, and it's time to crown the champ. Mike Lloveras finished at 88-56, a 61% pace. Getting over 60% is very difficult, so congratulations to Mike. 

Second place went to Brian Hicks at 83-61, and third was a tie between Mark Weigley and Patrick Petty at 82-62.

We'll have some sort of Bowl/Playoff game as soon as it's all figured out who's playing who.

Four players were 9-3 last weekend to take top honors in Pick 'em. Let's hear it for Denise Vandiver, Drew Barry, James Bilbrey, and Kim Richardson. 

In second place at 8-4 were Edward L Tauscher, Greg Stewart, Jeffery Herman, Jim Saurman, Joan Piazza, John Bowers Jr., Kevin Fraze, Mary Lynn, Matt Wright, Roy Wright, Tracy Gill, Troy Bleeker, Wanda Kromer, and Wayne Gaff.

With one week to go, Mike Lloveras has a four-game lead at 80-52. Patrick Petty is second at 76-56, and Brian Hicks is third at 75-57. 

We'll have the last regular-season Pick 'em this week. There are great games starting FRIDAY. None of them involve the Gators. No surprise.

Round of applause for Deborah Tauscher! She was 10-2 to take top honors last Saturday. In second place at 9-3 we had Doby Gray, Mike Lloveras, and Tim McCausland. In third at 8-4 were Dean Tilman, Jackson Harrell, Joan Piazza, John Wyckoff, Lew Carter, Scott Francis, Wanda Kromer, Wayne Gaff, Wendy Gaff, and Zaeem A Khan.

For the year, Mike Lloveras has opened a five-game lead at 74-46. Patrick Petty is second at 69-51. Brian Hicks is third at 68-52.

Two more games remain for the Gators. We will play again this week.

Four-way tie for first place last Saturday in Pick 'em. At 9-3 were A.J. Ryan, Dean Tilman, Eric Bunce, and John Bowers, Jr. 

Second place at 8-4 were Allen Lamb, Daniel Jackson, Edward L. Tauscher, Joe Leavell, John Harrison, Kevin S. Robinson, Mary Weigly, Mike Lloveras, Patrick Petty, Scott Kamien, Troy Bleeker, and Will Terry. And a bunch of people were 7-5.

Year-to-date finds Mike Lloveras in first at 65-43, followed by Patrick Petty in second at 63-45. Michelle Piazza and Tim Roberts are third at 62-46.

We'll play again this week.

Congrats to Mike Holland and Rob Davis, who were 9-3 for top honors Saturday. No fewer than 20 people were 8-4 for second place at 8-4. And a whole bunch more at 7-5.

For the year, Mike Lloveras leads at 57-39. In second place are Brian Hicks and Tim Roberts, 56-40. Third place has Bill Perpich, Michelle Piazza, and Patrick Petty at 55-41.

We'll give it another try this Saturday.
